Project

A project that I am working right now is for a subject called perception and it is a immersion device made in a  parallelepiped of strained wire. This device has been the result of a work that we have been doing for more than a month even though is not the original idea of how this project was supposed to end. The idea behind the volume is create a space inside itself that people can look through a spy hole (like the ones that doors have), and see the concept that we were working with in my case the concept is fragmentation which is the result of an analysis and observation of a building, my building was The Seattle Public Library. The idea of creating a space on the inside isolated from the outside is that you can feel that you are part of the structure not just an object that you can look and that's all. But that feeling can not be realized if you can't see anything so that's why the last stage, and final, is we use the light to help us show what we want and think is mo...

My Favorite Movie

So my favorite movie in the entire world that I can watch over and over again without getting bored is Girl interrupted, that is a drama movie released in 1999 and directed by James Mangold and it based on the book with the same name written by Susanna Kaysen, which is a memoir of her life, specifically when she was hospitalized in a mental institution. Winona Ryder was choose to play Susanna but also was an Executive producer of the film what makes her more committed to the film. But it was not her who got all the attention for the movie, because the one that tole the show was Angelina Jolie who played Lisa Rowe in the film, who was nominated for thee of the most important awards, The Oscars, The Golden Globes and The SAG, for best supporting actress and she won the three of them. The rest of the cast also have big names like Brittany Murphy, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Moss and Jared Leto. The movie was set in the 60s and starts when Susanna (Winona Ryder) was sent to Claymoo...

Celebration

I think a great celebration that makes me think about it sometimes its when a group of friends and I got planned a trip to the beach for the winter vacations, and after we have everything ready I remember about my birthday was the last day we were gonna be on the beach, but I went anyway. The trip was in 2015, and we went to the beach house of one of my friends on Los Molles, I remember that as soon I get to the house I totally forgot about my birthday, because I don't like celebrate my birthdays. Anyway, we spent most of the days partying, climbing a hill that was near to the house, we went to village next to the beach, and we obviously we drank by beach, I think its the first time that I have a good time at the beach, because I always go in summertime and get really annoyed by all the people and the noise so going to the in beach in winter was a well done decision. OK, so going back to the celebration, as I told you before the we were going home was my birthday so i did not ha...

Free Post September, 26th

This post will be about a topic that i think its really relevant specially for us as students of a public college that are trying to make a difference in how society is working right and the decision we are making as a community. Personally I think all the things that are happening now have a common factor that it is empathy, or the lack of it to be more specific, and that can really be shown in every aspect of our lives in how treat others, how we act as individuals and this behavior affect other people lives, and how easy it is to make a change if we start to care a little more for the ones besides us. In my personal experience I have noticed that people do not care that much about others, and I am not talking from the outside criticizing everyone else, because I see the lack of empathy on myself on a daily basis, whether not helping someone on the bus or ignoring people that are really not having a great time specially here, where stress and anxiety are something that we ...

My Dream Job

Even though i love architecture the real job that would make me happy is acting, i really enjoy when i'm on stage performing with the lights on my face, and pretending to be someone completely different and sharing a story hoping that someone in the audience can relate to. This dream started since I was a kid, because my grandfather loved cinema and he used to wait for the credits and watch it till my name was on screen, since my name is very common in USA and also because I was named after a famous actor I remember he always told that someday my name will be on the screen, so I always had that in mind, even that I still can get my name on the screen, but I do still acting in the theater, wich is more organic and methodical that movies, I been on different acting classes since I was 17 years old (i'm 21 now), i been in different plays and it's really comforting because all my friends and family are very supportive, they always show up in every play without being asked. But...

Pedro Aguirre Cerda: The Greatest Chilean

Pedro Aguirre Cerda was born in February 6th in Pocuro he was a lawyer, a teacher and a politician, who was also president. For me Cerda it's one of the greatest chileans because he cause so much impact in how we understand education this days, and it's really easy to see his desire to let people know that education was the to key to make the grade back then just with his iconic government slogan "gobernar es educar" wich can be translated as " to govern is to educate " . And also with his work on education and poverty issues, because he belived that those 2 topic were relevant to succeed as a country. As I say before Pedro was really relevant speaking of education since he created thousands of schools, made more relevant the institutions related to industry and agriculture and also created a lot of national companies in his quest to nationalize the resources. One of his biggest success that it's relevant until today is the creation of CORFO , tha...

National Holidays

With the holidays coming up next week, I think it's important to create a little of conscience about how we celebrate this dates, because we only live in the moment and don't think about the garbage we produce and the pollution of the with so many burning grills. On the bright side, I think a lot of people rely on this holidays to take a break from their stressful routine, and spend a quality time with their loved ones, I also think this holidays set a great mood in the community, because you can see how people are more relaxed once that September starts, it's like a massive party that lasts the whole month. For this holidays I have plan spend most of the week with my family at home, make some empanadas, anticuchos, and every food that scream September, and also I was thinking of going to the fondas with some friends but almost everyone are vegan now, wich it's great, so maybe we are going just to drink terremotos, wich it's a funny name for a  drink, it means ear...
