A project that I am working right now is for a subject called perception and it is a immersion device made in a parallelepiped of strained wire. This device has been the result of a work that we have been doing for more than a month even though is not the original idea of how this project was supposed to end.
The idea behind the volume is create a space inside itself that people can look through a spy hole (like the ones that doors have), and see the concept that we were working with in my case the concept is fragmentation which is the result of an analysis and observation of a building, my building was The Seattle Public Library.
The idea of creating a space on the inside isolated from the outside is that you can feel that you are part of the structure not just an object that you can look and that's all. But that feeling can not be realized if you can't see anything so that's why the last stage, and final, is we use the light to help us show what we want and think is most interesting to show. We were told that we were free when we decide how we were gonna add the light, we can create fissures and let the natural light come through or use artificial lights. i am still deciding which one use but probably i'm gonna go with the easier one.
